  • Scans spend credits, and unused credits expire at the end of each billing cycle.
  • Automated review responses are not on Starter.
  • Review requests are not listed.

$24.99 a month on Starter, billed monthly. Billed annually, Starter is $299.88 a year. The page shows a $ sign and does not name the currency. One credit is one grid point, so a 5x5 grid uses 25 credits.

  • Local data sits in the account a Semrush team already uses.

Where it falls short

  • Its Local pages do not say how often rankings update or how many keywords you can track.
  • AI search tracking is not in Base or Pro; the page points to Semrush Enterprise AIO at custom pricing.
  • The Local plan pages do not say what one credit buys.

  • The Local Rank Tracker has no grid view. Grids are a separate product.
  • Its public pages do not list AI search tracking or review requests.
  • Plans count location keywords, so tracking ten keywords in three cities uses 30.

It checks where a business shows up in Google results for a search, from a set place. Some tools also draw a grid of points over a map, so you can see your rank street by street instead of one average.
Rank can change from one street to the next, so one average hides where you lose. A grid shows it point by point. BrightLocal, Local Falcon, Semrush Local and Reputant include one. Whitespark sells grids as a separate product.
Reputant runs a grid on request, and a keyword can run again after 14 days. Whitespark offers weekly or daily tracking. BrightLocal's tracker runs weekly or monthly, Local Falcon lets you schedule scans on every plan, and Semrush Local's pages state no schedule.
